One year ago, I setoff on a crazy adventure.
I started a podcast, and recorded myself talking into a weird bulging mic for ~30 minutes every single week. 😵
Over the course of 365 days, I covered topics I'd been waiting to share with a broader audience for years.
From strategic planning to content batching to marketing and PR differences… You know, the simple things in a communication girl's life. 💁♀️
I am amazed by what we accomplished in 50 weeks (yes, I took 2 weeks off in the year), but I'm also ready for how we can improve.
Although, our most streamed episode received over 150 listens in the first day, and 8 lovely guests brought overwhelming awareness to the podcast, there's still a lot we can do, and we're excited to get started. 💪
However, as the podcast grows and priorities shift, the same goes for life…
With this major accomplishment, we've decided to take six weeks off from podcasting, email newsletters and social media posts to celebrate summer. 🥳
While we know that consistency is key to success, so is resting and resetting.
We'll be doing that amid chasing kiddos across open fields and attempting to catch them in lukewarm swimming pools. What will you be doing this summer? 😜
Lookout for Season 2 of the Marketing Your Purpose podcast this fall when we're back with fresh marketing tips, and incredible guests.
Thank you for being such a BIG support to us over this last year!

FUN FACT: About 90% of the time, my MYP podcast episodes are scripted… but this week, it's time to get vulnerable 😳
Over the past two years (since the birth of my son), I’ve been working on creating and managing a flexible schedule… and, it has been a long time coming.
Since opening Plum & Parcel 10 years ago, a lot has changed. From my client base, to bringing on multiple contractors, to going back to the corporate world and growing a family. 🫣
It’s been a whirlwind of a decade! But like my friend Desiree, who I spoke with in our episode last week, I get the opportunity to play a very practical role in my house with my two (almost three) kiddos.
Now, with my time being more limited, it's time to start prioritizing how I spend it. ⌛ If you're a working mama, you know where I'm coming from!
This week I'm chatting unscripted through how I am creating and managing a flexible schedule in my business. 📅 And, how you can too!
If you have a few minutes to spare in your busy schedule, plug those headphones in. 🎧 It’s time to dive in!

By now, I assume you've probably heard a bit about the Bachelor franchise.
🌹
As a seasoned reality TV connoisseur, Bachelorette season 9 lead Desiree Siegfried (previously Desiree Hartsock) was one of my favorites, which is why I asked her to join me on the podcast this week. 🤗🎙
Although the Bachelorette was just the beginning of a beautiful journey that led her to becoming a:
Homeschooling mom of almost three 👩👦👦🤱,
Writing her memoir, The Road to Roses📚,
Launching her podcast, Do You See?🎙 and,
Starting Prayer Doves, a prayer community and online shop 🕊️
Des and I first connected over an influencer campaign nearly 10 years ago. A lot has changed since Desiree made her TV appearance in 2013, and accepted that partnership request. 👪
It's a great reminder that roles and priorities shift all.the.time, and how we choose to respond to those nudges and requests is what sets us apart.
If you're interested to hear what Desiree is focused on in this season + how she's chosen to use her platform since going on the Bachelorette, tune into EP 48! 🎧
You won't want to miss it 🌹

Here's the reality…
If you're based in the U.S., you're heading into the summer. And, if you have kids, you know what that means.🍦
Although summer can be labeled as a season of disruption as normal routines get a little “out of whack”, it's also one of rest.
YES, I HAVE GREAT NEWS! 🥳
Due to consumer spending trends, many brands take a short hiatus from marketing externally during the summer. Well, unless you sell swimsuits or are in the suntan lotion industry. 🕶️
Instead of spinning out new products or making big announcements, it's time to slow your roll and work behind-the-scenes for the following seasons! 🐌
If you're wondering what that means, I'm giving you a little synopsis on how to plan your marketing for Spring, Summer, Winter and Fall on the podcast.
Ongoing marketing and PR is non-stop hard-work and it’s important we carve out rhythms in our marketing, so we have time ourselves to rest. 😮💨
I'll be walking you through what to expect and how to plan each of your months marketing… from January to December!
As you listen to this episode, acknowledge the months that sounded good for you to find some extra time for yourself and family. 💖
Here is your 12-month marketing replay!

A lot can happen in a decade, which is how long it's been since I first met my friend Liz Bohannon!
Liz is a social entrepreneur (best known for co-founding and leading Sseko Designs), a bestselling author, speaker, podcast host, AND a past client of P&P.
Watching Liz's platform grow from near and far over the past decade has been wildly incredible, especially getting to play a small part in it.
Although it seems Liz has done it all, she did start somewhere.
She wrote a fantastic book called Beginners Pluck to recount her small beginnings and teach us women how to lean into a season of new.
That we bring magic into our own lives and businesses because we are beginners, NOT in spite of it!
And in today's episode, she expands on her book and the art of dreaming small to achieve big, so you can too.
If you've been looking for a sign to start something new, grab those headphones.
Come hangout with Liz and me on this week's episode of the Marketing Your Purpose podcast, and embrace your Inner Beginner. See you there!

Now we know Mondays can get a bad rap…
This past three-day weekend being an exception 🇺🇸
But over here, the first day of the week is almost always a breeze when all of P&P's marketing is teed up for the next 5-7 days before we even hit lunch 💯
Trust me, this rhythm didn't happen overnight.
It took recognizing the clunky, inefficient hours I was spending on the same things every week to get to this place… 😬
Plus, the need to build an effective Monday morning marketing system that flowed seamlessly.
Now, this 5-step process is so routine, I could do it blindfolded 🙈
KIDDING (but maybe not).
I LOVE knowing exactly what's happening on a bare minimum basis with P&P's marketing, so I can review, finalize and move on by noon every Monday morning. 🙌And now you can too.
So, if you're ready to create your Monday morning workflow to help your marketing become more streamlined…
You need to tune into this episode! Take a listen 🎧

Whether you know it or not, we create systems in our lives every day… at home, at work, and even in relationships.
Systems move us from one task to the next, getting us from point A to point B. Sometimes systems are effortless and smooth. Others are a bit clunky.
Whether “systemizing your life” is a new or seasoned practice for you, the big question is: have you prioritized systems in your marketing?
Chelsi Jo, a friend and mentor of mine, has quite a bit of experience in this area.

Chelsi is the host of the top 10 ranked Systemize Your Life Podcast, CEO and Founder of ChelsiJo.Co, + the queen of systems for work from home moms.
Her core three systems are the reason why she has been able to grow a business from idea to multiple six figures and never neglect her family in the process.
So, our goal here today is to make your marketing more streamlined.
With the help of Chelsi, we're covering 5 ways to systemize your marketing in any stage of business, including:
- Keeping Track of Your KPIs- Planning Your Top Marketing Strategies Quarterly - Creating a Content Calendar- and more!
